This
is a ‘Shaggie Dog' story! Shaggie Maggie
is an Afghan Hound. Like all Afghan Hounds she is very aloof and does her
own thing. In fact, we often say that she lives in a world of her own
– her own little 'Shaggie
Maggie Land'! |
With
her far-away expression, and her black eyes covered in long black silky
locks, we can only guess at what goes on in ‘Shaggie
Maggie Land'. But we know that it must feature
her playmates – Terry (the
Boy Racer) and Dotty Doris.
And
as Maggie lives in a house filled with cats, we figure that there must
be a few cats in 'Shaggie Maggie Land'
too. |
Not
to mention the squirrels. Squirrels are the arch enemy of Shaggie Maggie.
Every morning she rushes out to catch them in our garden, but the squirrels
are too quick and they taunt Maggie from the trees. |
As do the birds. Shaggie
Maggie has a thing about birds too – she tries to catch them as they fly
overhead. And they've learnt that if they sit on the fence, Shaggie Maggie
can't catch them how ever she tries. |
Also we know that there
must be plenty of food available in 'Shaggie
Maggie Land', as food is a subject
that Shaggie Maggie spends plenty of time thinking about! But there probably
aren't any baths in 'Shaggie Maggie Land'.
Maggie tries not to think about baths if she can help it! |
So
really I suppose that we probably have a pretty good idea what 'Shaggie
Maggie Land' is like after all. And that is what we've tried to
show on the next page. If this page has finished loading (which means that
'Shaggie
Maggie Land' should load straight away), click on the sign and you
will see!
(And yes we are mad to
have done it – stark staring bonkers!) |
